A Cure, Prevention, and Support

I remember telling some of you this about 6 months ago, but i'm actually doing it, and wow i finally have time to actually sign up and get started and so I have, and I do have to give a thanks to ~chrisfromchapelhill for shaking it back into my head (i've been a little distracted lately).

March 9th is the 19th Annual Walk for the AIDS Foundation-Houston.
This organization helps thousands in the Houston area secure health care, medication, and other support, and also promotes and funds education programs.

HIV/AIDS is an entirely preventable disease, help us find a cure, and help us support the people who are living with this disease.

March 9th!? Thats only a month away! AH! AHHHHHH!

Why will I be walking?
For all the people in my life affected by the illness. For every one person infected there are countless others that are affected.
Lets turn that into a positive and arrest the number of infected.
And I won't be walking alone, my friend and HR partner, Nathan (not my hubby but yes, same name) will be walking with me, and I encourage anyone else in the Houston area who wants to show their support to walk as well

Help us spread the word and reach my goal, and you'll be walking with me and Nathan

3) There are days I feel that there is nothing in this universe I can do to better it, that all the work I can do in a life time won't offset even a fraction of a fraction of all the bad.
And then someone says something and I think--it doesn't matter what the long range score of good vs evil in this world is. Their one life, their one happiness and mine as a result is enough reward for the effort.
All those that sink and fall and fail, don't dwell on them. Hold up the one in a million that takes the first step in a positive direction.
